Shane & I just got back from the great city of Chicago! He came with me for a conference I had where I also presented my thesis. It was called The International Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) Conference. People from all of the world who are in the field were there. I had a great time attending seminars, workshops, presentations, etc. on new interventions and ideas of things to use with my kids. It was great. I also presented the findings from my thesis, along with my partner Heidi. A lot of people were interested in our study and wanted to get more information from us. We will now try to get it published in an ABA Journal of some sort, most likely one having to do with Autism. I had a great time sharing laughs and catching up with my professors and past classmates. I also enjoyed being able to introduce them all to Shane!
When we weren't at the conference, we did make time for some sight seeing also. We saw Navy Pier, went on the Ferris Wheel, saw the skyline and beautiful architecture, as well as Michagan Avenue (the main drag). I of course made time for some shopping and Shane managed to squeeze in a quick trip to the casino. It was so great to get away for a little while and be on vacation! Here are some pictures of the trip! Enjoy!!
